Oops! Probably should wake up now, Timmo....or...or don't. Technically humans in the pit are not rare at all, but they've been stripped of their bodies and enter the pit as damned souls. This accounts for the Beasts' main food supply. Of course Beasts also enjoy supplementing their diet with, basically, anything and everything that moves. Those big guys gotta eat!

  1. They look big, but not as much as cthulu or something like that…I was thinking, if Hell can be acessed by material ways, are the demons succetible tô material weapons, like swords or Guns? Or are they invulneráble to everything but Holy things like the demons of Constantino? Just asking

    1. Yup, they can be killed with a regular sword or gun, but they’re very durable, so it would take quite a bit of sword-ing or gunning to take one down like these two. They come in a range though, so there are these big guys who would be very difficult to kill but also smaller guys like those from a few pages back who would go down pretty easily, but tend to find strength in numbers.

  2. So the King would consider Pit Angels a snack, in case no damned souls are at hand? Or don’t the Beasts devour each other, maybe for reasons of keeping some basic society up and running? So far, I expect the latter to be the case, or some other reason that keeps them from eating each other.

    1. You’ll see pretty soon, they devour each other allll the time. There’s no rule against it, though it can be pretty inconvenient if you eat someone with a job to do, or someone a stronger beast had an alliance with! Higher beasts eat lesser beasts very frequently, so yeah, the king wouldn’t think twice about munching on a few pit angels (though if he eats too many of the ones loyal to him, he’d chance losing their support).
It’s also a good way to give yourself a promotion if you can manage to eat a beast of a higher position: you’ll gain their title. Of course a beast cannot survive by only eating other beasts, they do need souls specifically to survive, but they’ll definitely do for a snack, or if you’re especially ambitious.

  3. The gates of Hell are shivered … et cetera. First spear, we have a problem.
