My little girl first enjoyed meat when my dad came by (and, in hindsight, flavourless Vienna Sausages weren’t the best choice to try to get her to eat it).
She ate the grilled heavily seasoned beef and pork with a top right and bottom left incisor and just chewed it and chewed it and sucked away all the juices without knowing how to swallow it, really, just letting it go into her squirrel cheeks.
This lad is clearly older, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Actual food! (sort of )
Best way to get a toddler to do anything is to distract it with a)food or b) an equally loud noise that isn’t mean.
