Bernard has been holding out on us! So yes, Many of the beasties have the ability to shapeshift. It's something they need to practice at though, an unpracticed beast's human form will look decidedly unnatural. It's actually a skill used more often by lesser beasts. For a court member it is pretty unheard of, because there's really no situation where they'd NEED to. But Bernard is from a lower house and after having spent some time 'upstairs', so he's pretty much got it down and is showing off so Hadrian will think he's cool. Thanks ya'll for reading! See ya next week!

  1. Bernard IS cool. I already love him so much!
And I can easily imagine Hadrian asks him to shapeshift: “Hey dude, wanna turn into a human? Pleaaaaaase!”

Really cool comic by the way, I love the plot and your way of drawing. I’m following your other comic “Bird Boy”, and I’m always impatient to see an update from you. Keep going! You’re a really good comic author!

    1. Haha, thank you!
That’s definitely something Hadrian would do, too XD

  2. Ended up here after seeing your concepts on Devianart. I really, really, love your concepts and art. You’ve got my full attention so far with this story. Please, keep it up! 🙂

  3. How dia he knows how a human look like if humano never go tô Hell alive? They should know just ghost and spirits of humans or living folk did go to hell sometime?

    1. Because some beasts go and visit to the surface, Bernard included!

  4. Whoa! Wasn’t expecting THAT!
    Bernard is definitely cool.
I can see Hadrian keeping Timonthy as a pet, or toy. I’m very much enjoying this work of yours; any plans on publishing this in book form?

    1. It’s definitely my intent to get it out as a book, though right now I’m enjoying the freedom of not having anyone waiting over my shoulder for it! It’s meant to be one long novel length read which is hard to pitch early on as well, since it means publishers are waiting years for a finish after they get a small taste (a problem I had with Bird Boy for a while), so I’m gonna hold off until I have much more before making any serious moves towards a book.
